Questions & Answers with Midnight Auto Concepts
Midnight Auto Concepts
Premium Custom Auto Parts
Q: Is Midnight Auto Concepts a new company?
A: Short answer: You can say that. Long answer: Not quite (read on).
To be open and honest, we were once known as slightly longer, yet unnecessary: Midnight Haze Auto Concepts. Our company started small in 2001, with two young partners working out of a two-car garage in a small suburb of Portland, Oregon. We dreamt large, but we aimed to be even larger. There will be no sugar-coating of the truth - that truth being that before long, our company had far exceeded the limits from which we were able to handle. Broken partnerships, clients yearning for more, and a business plan that was not designed for this type of expansion were just the silver-lining in Midnight Haze's slow and painful fall from grace.
We learned many things from this lesson and, if anything, it allowed us to mature as a company. It was time for us to 'grow up' so to speak, and get back to the fundamentals. As a result, from May 15th, 2009 forward, 'Haze' was dropped from our name and yet, not to confuse past clients or hide who we are, we are now known simply as: Midnight Auto Concepts (http://www.MidnightAutoConcepts.com/).
We believe second chances should not be given, but rather that they should be earned. We are here to earn your business, and to provide some of the best, top-quality products that your platform has to offer.
Change is a good thing. Its good to be back.
Q: I am a past client of Midnight Haze Auto Concepts, remember me?
A: We certainly do. As part of our commitment and promise to returning customers, we have designed our new business model towards specifically taking care of the few remaining clients left standing during the Midnight Haze days as our first plan of action. There are many points to cover, and please contact us for further information, but in short: WE... now work for you.
That's right, you read us right, Boss. We are doing something that (to our knowledge) has never been done before: all profits minus that which is needed for operating costs made by Midnight Auto Concepts will be redirected into refunding and/or supplying those requesting resolution until ALL clients left behind are satisfied.
Its a bold statement, but one we are prepared to make. Have a past order and want to make sure you are accounted for? Please contact us our Resolutions Department for more details.
Q: How long does it take for my order to be reviewed?
A: Orders that are made directly to Midnight Auto Concepts via email or our website will often be reviewed and confirmed within 1-3 business days.
Q: I've sent an email in but I haven't gotten a response yet. What's going on?
A: Depending on the volume of emails that we have received that day, it could take anywhere between 1-3 business days to return your email. We have not and will not make it a habit to 'ignore' our customers, so by all means please give us appropriate time to get a response to you.
Q: What exactly is a 'Core Charge'?
A: A core charge works just as a core charge would for a replaced battery, alternator or many other replaced car parts. Some of our units (such as the Interior Lighting Conversion Kits) are modified versions of stock units. Since there are limited stock units available for our cars, we must charge a core charge, or a 'replacement charge,' so that we can continue to modify and sell them.
Q: How can I avoid a Core Charge?
A: For those that don't wish to supply core charge fees, you have the option to send in your current units for modification.
Q: Where do I send my Core units?
A: At this time, we're currently in the process of moving to a new facility. Please contact us directly for the latest address.
Q: Who do I write my cashier's check or money order out to?
A: You are welcome to write all cashier's checks and money orders out to your sales representative. If you do not have a sales representative and you are ordering directly off of our website, you can write it out to the company owner: Shaun Cameron.
Q: Can you do combined shipping?
A: We most definitely can. Some items may require separate shipping boxes, however, if there is any risk of one product damaging another within the same box. Most light-weight items can be shipped together and therefore your shipping prices will drop accordingly. Once we receive and review your purchase, we will refund any unnecessary shipping charges.
Q: Can you work with Japanese/UK-spec cars?
A: For the Interior Lighting Conversion Kit, or many of the other items that require Core Units, we are able to modify your units directly for no additional charge. For most GTO/Japanese/UK-Spec. parts, we will need you to send in your current units for modification. Additionally, we do have some parts - such as our Mitsubishi GTO/3000GT A-Pillar Gauge Pods, which we have exclusive versions made specifically for Japanese/UK-spec cars. When purchasing, you will have an option to enter a note during the checkout process. With this in mind, please let us know if your car has any special attributes that you feel we should be aware of.
Q: What is your return policy?
A: As a company selling products for cars that we love like none-other, we completely stand behind our products and in most cases will allow sold products to be returned if they are defective within 30 days of when the product was shipped. All returns and parts but be new, uninstalled and in their original packaging in re-sellable condition. Return shipping charges are not refundable. The only exception to this rule is if the product ordered from Midnight Auto is proven to be defective. If this is the case, the product will have to be returned to Midnight Auto for inspection. If the product fails due to mis-installation, this is completely the responsibility of the buyer/user. We recommend professional installation on all of our products.
Q: What can I do if I have further questions?
A: Simply send an email to our Information Department.
